Mechanism of Action
• Neuromodulation: Snap-8 is a synthetic peptide that mimics the N-terminal part of the SNAP-25 protein, a key component of the SNARE complex involved in neurotransmitter release. By competing with SNAP-25 for binding sites in the SNARE complex, Snap-8 inhibits the release of neurotransmitters such as acetylcholine, thereby reducing muscle contractions.
